Victoria Razo is a documentary photographer based in Mexico. Her vision focuses on Human Rights, migration and gender issues. Currently, she works as a freelance photojournalist collaborating with National Geographic, National Public Radio, the Agence France Presse, and others.
Her photographs have been published in international media outlets such as National Geographic, The Washington Post, The Globe and mail, TIME, The New York Times, NPR, Al Jazeera, El País, among others.
Her work has been awarded second place in the POY LATAM portrait category in 2021, and won first place in the CEAPP Investigative Journalism Award in 2021, 2020 and 2018. Previously awarded first place in the Gabriel García Márquez Award in the image category with the collective project "Searchers in a country of disappeared” coordinated by Periodistas de a Pie in 2017, and selected for TIME Magazine’s 2018 top 100 photographs of the year and for National Geographic’s 2021 Year in Pictures.
